Rosey Air offers custom charters and flightseeing tours from Anchorage to remote destinations across Southcentral Alaska. Catering to hunters, fishermen, adventurers, and tourists, we provide a reliable, flexible, year-round service
At Rosey Air, we specialize in custom air charters and unforgettable flightseeing experiences from our home base at Birchwood Airport in Chugiak, Anchorage, Alaska.
We offer a flexible, reliable point-to-point service for fishermen and adventurers traveling to off-the-grid lodges, cabins, or remote camping spots. We know Alaska’s backcountry inside and out, getting you safely to even the most hard-to-reach places.
We also offer personalized flightseeing tours. Fly over snowcapped mountain peaks and ancient majestic glaciers – spot incredible wildlife or opt for a bear viewing tour. Every tour is customized to give you a truly personal experience of Alaska’s wild beauty.
Peter Rosendahl is the sole pilot and owner of Rosey Air. Having been based in Alaska since 2012, he is familiar with the unique challenges of bush flying, from unpredictable weather to remote airstrips.
As an ATP-rated Commercial Pilot and a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII), Peter’s focus is on safe operations, clear decision‑making, and personal attention. You’ll work directly with him from booking through landing, benefiting from his hands‑on approach and local knowledge.
Rosey Air is FAA-certified and HAZMAT-approved (hazardous material transport).
Rosey Air currently operates a single passenger Piper Super Cub, arguably the gold standard for short-field performance. Its rugged landing gear and STOL (short-takeoff-and-landing) capability enable precise landings and rapid climbs on gravel bars, mountain clearings, and, when fitted with skis, snow-packed tundra.
With interchangeable wheeled and ski landing gear, our Super Cub adapts to Alaska’s seasons for dependable, year-round service. Whether you’re chartering a flight to a remote cabin or embarking on a personalized flightseeing tour, Rosey Air connects you with Alaska’s wild places in comfort and safety.
Our Piper Super Cub accommodates one passenger plus gear, with a combined weight limit of 335 pounds.
Rosey Air’s service area spans South Central Alaska and the Alaska Range, including Kodiak’s coastal fjords, the massive glaciers of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, Katmai’s bear country, and the northern approaches to Denali.
Choosing Rosey Air means working with a pilot‑owned service that puts reliability, competence, and safety first. Peter’s one‑on‑one engagement ensures clear communication, flexible scheduling, and careful attention to every detail – so you can focus on your adventure.
From precise weight‑and‑balance considerations to up‑to‑date weather monitoring, Rosey Air delivers the personal care and local expertise that makes each flight smooth and secure.
